Playing Baccarat can be extremely interesting because of the way the betting system works. Unlike normal card games where bets are placed after the cards have been dealt, Baccarat players place their bets before the cards are even dealt.

Another interesting feature is that players can bet on the house, their own hand, or that the result of the hand is going to be a tie. The idea of the game is to bet on whether the house or the players accumulated cards are closest to 9. The total is calculated by the value of the cards.

Aces in the game are valued at 1 whereas cards 2 to 9 are face value. Cards like 10s, Jacks, Queens and Kings are valued at 0.
